The Maytag DE312 is one model on a long list of laundry appliances produced by the Maytag Corp. Like any dryer, it is not helpful to your household, though, if it is not working properly. Check the fuse box because the circuit may be overloaded . The breaker may have tripped or the fuse may have blown out.

Check the heat setting. Depending on the setting, like "Air Fluff," sometimes no heat is used to dry the clothes.

Check the cycle the Maytag DE312 is on. If it has been running a long time, it may have entered the cool-down portion of the cycle.

Check the lint filter and exhaust duct. Remove the filter and make sure it is free from lint. Vacuum the opening on the lint trap after you have the filter out. Unplug the dryer before you vacuum in this area. The exhaust duct is the pipe that connects to the back of the dryer and vents to the outside. Make sure the hose and the outside vent are both free of lint.
