Canon IP4500 Instructions

The Canon IP4500 is a photo printer with a resolution of 9600 x 2400 dpi. It can print up to 8-by-10 photos, and prints borderless 4-by-6 photos in as little as 21 seconds. The IP4500 uses five separate ink cartridges, four of which are dye-based, to get better color detail, and has an Auto-Image Fix to help you get better photo prints. The IP4500 has connections to print directly from a PictBridge camera, as well as USB inputs to connect to a Mac or Windows computer.

Instructions

1. Press the "Paper Switch" button on the bottom right of the front side of the printer to select the paper source. The top light indicates it will feed from the rear tray, while the bottom light indicates it will feed from the cassette tray. Having two sources lets you have regular paper and photo paper always loaded.

2. Open the file or photo you want to print on your computer using the appropriate software that you created the file with. Click print.

3. Select the number of copies you want to print from the print dialog box.

4. Select the paper size from the dialog box and click OK.

5. Click print to print the document or photo.
