How to Do Hot Makeup

Long lashes and full pink lips complete a hot makeup look.

Behind every alluring model and actress is a talented makeup artist who makes sultry eyes, flushed cheeks and full lips look natural. But with the right products and application, anyone can achieve a red-carpet look in just minutes. Smoky eyes with long lashes, full, shimmering lips and naturally rosy cheeks with luminous skin are just some of the steps to a hot look.

Things You'll Need

• Cream concealer
• Black or dark gray eyeliner
• Gray, brown or deep silver or bronze eye shadow
• Neutral tan or pink eye shadow
• Black mascara
• Tinted moisturizer
• Illuminating moisturizer
• Rose-colored cream blush
• Pink or tan lipstick
• Clear lip gloss
• Lip plumper (optional)

Instructions

1. 

   Smoky eyes start with black or dark gray liner.

   Begin eyes with a clean palette. Apply cream concealer or eyeshadow primer to the entire eyelid. Line the top and bottom eyelids with a black or dark gray eyeliner pencil, making sure to get in-between the lashes. Smudge the liner with a cotton swab.

2. Apply eye shadow in dark gray, brown, or shimmery dark silver or bronze over the liner and up to the crease, covering the entire eyelid. Apply a light neutral shadow in tan or pink from the crease to the brow and blend. Top the look off with two coats of black mascara on the top and bottom lashes.

3. Cover skin in a tinted moisturizer or light foundation for a fresh, dewy look. Apply cream concealer to any blemishes or dark spots. Highlight cheekbones and underneath eyebrow arches with an illuminating moisturizer.

   The blush should complement your skin tone, so avoid colors that are too dark

   Select a cream blush in a rosy color that complements your skin tone. The look should be natural, so avoid a blush that is too dark. Apply blush to the apples of cheeks - the part of the cheek that becomes fuller when smiling. Blend carefully to ensure a natural look.

   Lipstick in a natural shade creates the perfect pout.

   Choose a pink or tan lipstick that complements your lip color. Lips, like cheeks, should appear natural so they don't compete with the smoky eyes. To enhance fullness, consider applying a lip plumper first.

6. Apply lipstick to the upper and lower lips. Do not go outside the lip line in an attempt to make lips look fuller - this look is more sloppy than sexy. After applying lipstick, retrace with a clear shiny gloss. Gloss adds to the lips' fullness, creating the perfect pout.

Tips & Warnings

• Complete your sexy makeup look with tousled, wavy hair.

• Since oily skin is never sexy, bring blotting papers to correct any t-zone shine.

• If lashes are thin or sparse, consider applying individual false eyelashes just to outer corners for a look that is sexy but not over the top.
