Embed a film strip image in a PowerPoint presentation.

A Microsoft PowerPoint presentation may be a way to convey information in a slide-show format, but it need not be just text on a screen. PowerPoint can handle just about any kind of graphic; in fact, images may help get your point across and illustrate your data for your audience. PowerPoint offers quick functionality to import and embed objects directly onto its slides so you don't have to keep files separately. Combine everything into one presentation and start the show.

Instructions

    • 1

Open PowerPoint, click the "File" tab and click "Open." Browse to the presentation you'd like to work on and double-click the file name.

    • 2

Scroll through the slide deck on the left column on the left side of the screen and double-click the slide where you'd like to embed the film strip. To embed the film strip onto a new slide, click once on a slide and press "Enter," adding a new blank slide after it.

    • 3

Click the "Insert" tab at the top of the screen. Click "Object" on the toolbar/ribbon below the tab.

    • 4

Click "Create from file" in the "Insert Object" window. Click "Browse" and find the digital film strip image. Click once on the strip to highlight it and click "OK."

    • 5

Click "OK" to close the "Insert Object" window and embed the film strip on the slide. Repeat to add additional strips as desired.

    • 6

Click the "File" tab, click "Save As" and type a new name for the presentation to preserve the original or click "Save" to overwrite the original.
