You can temporarily disable NOD 32's real-time protection.

ESET's NOD 32 Antivirus provides real-time protection for your computer. In addition to scanning your computer's hard drives, NOD 32 scans removable disks, CDs, DVDs and emails. However, you may find it necessary to temporarily disable NOD 32. For example, some applications require that you shut down any antivirus programs during installation. NOD 32 lets you disable the antivirus protection and re-enable it later.

Instructions

      Open the main NOD 32 window by clicking on the ESET icon in the system tray or on the "Start" menu by selecting "All Programs," "ESET" and then "ESET NOD 32 Antivirus."

      Click "Setup" on the left pane of the main window and select "Temporarily disable Antivirus and antispyware protection."

    • 3

      Click "Yes" to confirm that you wish to disable your protection.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can re-enable your protection by selecting "Enable Antivirus and antispyware protection" on the "Setup" window.
