How to Load the Windows XP Tablet Edition From a Windows XP SP2 Disk

Windows XP Tablet Edition is a slightly modified version of Windows XP Professional that has a few extra tools that can be used on a tablet PC. These tools are included by default with the Windows XP SP2 update, which is available in both a downloadable and disk format. If you have this Windows XP SP2 disk, you can install SP2 onto your computer and get the Tablet Edition of the operating system installed along with it.

• Windows XP SP2 disk

Instructions

1. Insert your XP SP2 disk into your computer and wait for the installation window to appear.

2. Click the "Install" button, click "Next" and then click "I agree" to agree to the installation license agreement.

3. Click "Next" to install SP2 onto your computer. The installation process will automatically take place. Once the installation finishes, reboot your computer and the tablet portion of the operating system is installed.
