How to Play Area 51
More than one game available on the Internet goes by the name "Area 51". The first Area 51 game is a classic shoot-em game that was originally an Xbox game and must be downloaded to your computer. In the game, you are pitted again the aliens that have invaded the secret government facility out west. The second Area 51 game is a classic landing game, in which you attempt to put your alien craft down safely on the landing pad. The game can be played online at a few different websites.

Download the Area 51 shoot-em game from FilePlanet.com (see Resources). FilePlanet offers three separate free servers on which you can download Area 51. To download from one of FilePlanet’s free servers, click on the “Queue File” button by the server and wait for the download to process. The servers generally have a small waiting time, from one to five minutes.

Get your copy of the Area 51 shoot-em game from StrategyInformer.com (see Resources). Like FilePlanet, StrategyInformer provides three different download servers from which U.S. citizens can choose. Click the radio button by any of the servers, then press the “Download Now” button to get in the queue to download from the server. Each of the servers may experience a slight delay if other people are trying to download from the server at the same time.

Play the Area 51 landing game at Flash-Game (see Resources). Click on the “How to Play” tab in the game screen to view detailed instructions for controlling the game, then click “How to Play” again to remove the instructions from the screen.
