How to Insert MLS Search on Your Website

As a real estate agent, it's to your benefit to insert an MLS (Multiple Listing Service) search into your personal website. Using MLS on your main Web page, all of your potential clients will be able to view the listings of all homes for sale within your region. To insert MLS into your personal real estate site, you simply need to navigate your website's account management tool and properly insert your MLS IDX code.

  1. Inserting MLS

      Log into your real estate website's account management tool.

      Navigate to the top of the account manager screen and select "Web Site Pages."

      Select your Web page from the list of options presented.

      Select the "Edit Pages" option.

      Select and drag a building block to the specific location on the Web page where you want MLS to appear.

      Select the "Insert Item" option.

      Select "Tools" from the items list.

      Select "Insert a Link to Your MLS Page" and then select continue.

      Select your state (or whatever state you operate in) from the MLS configuration menu.

      Select the type of search button you would like to use when prompted.

      Select "Save Changes" to finish.

Tips & Warnings

  • MLS IDX codes are often provided by real estate brokers and house locating websites. MLS providers vary by area and state, so do a general search of your area for MLS providers if you need to obtain an MLS IDX code.
