Towel Wedding Cake Directions
A towel cakes makes a perfect centerpiece for a wedding shower as well as a nice wedding gift for the happy couple. Towels are rolled up and stacked to resemble a three-tiered wedding cake. The towel cake gives the bride towels to take home, and it creates a centerpiece for the shower. Impress the guests at the wedding shower with a towel cake, and decorate it to match the theme of the wedding or shower.
Things You'll Need
- 2 bath towels
- Safety pins
- Ribbon
- Cake round
- 2 hand towels
- 2 washcloths
- Decorative soaps
- Silk flowers
- Flower petals

Lay two bath towels on a flat surface. Fold each bath towel lengthwise twice.

Overlap the bath towels by a ½ inch. Attach them together with two safety pins.

Roll the bath towels into a tight coil. Secure the towels together with another safety pin.

Tie a ribbon around the bath towels. Use enough ribbon so that you can tie a big bow in the front.

Place the rolled-up bath towels on a cake round with the folded edge side facing toward you.

Fold two hand towels and two washcloths in the same fashion. Pin the towels--keeping the hand towels and washcloths separate--together with safety pins, roll them into coils and tie ribbons around them.

Stack the hand towel coil on top of the bath towels. Place the washcloths on top of the hand towels to create a three-tiered cake.

Tuck decorative soaps between the towel layers.

Place silk flowers on top of the cake as a cake topper. Sprinkle flower petals around the bottom of the towel cake.
