A Tutorial for Sleep Sack
The SleepSack is a product manufactured by the Halo company. This product allows you to keep your wrap your baby in a warm, zippered type of blanket. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends removing any loose bedding materials that from a baby's sleeping area in order to help prevent Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). Using a Halo SleepSack is an effective way to keep your baby warm and secure without using loose blankets that could potentially block the airway passages.

Lay the sleep sack on a flat surface such as a changing table or bed.

Position your baby on top of the sleep sack with his head above the top edge and his body centered between the two holes.

Insert each arm through the arm holes.

Zip the zipper all the way up.

Wrap the left side of the swaddling section (the horizontal section of the sleep sack) across the baby's body and fasten it to the Velcro attachment on the right side of the sleep sack. Repeat this with the right side of the swaddling section as well. You can wrap these sections over the baby's arms if you want a full swaddling, or you can wrap them just under the arms to allow for more freedom of movement.

Tips & Warnings
For older babies who might not need swaddling, you can remove the swaddling section by pulling the Velcro attachments apart from the main section of the sleep sack on either side. Store the swaddling section away from the baby's sleeping area if you have removed it.
