Cement pavers are similar to concrete pavers, except that they do not contain sand as a binder. Cement pavers can made from molds that are placed directly on the ground or purchased pre-formed. Instructions

    • 1

Place a tape measure on the cement paver and draw a line on it, using a pencil to mark the location where you will cut.

    • 2

Insert a diamond-tipped cutting blade or a masonry blade into a circular saw, using the instructions provided with the saw. Set the blade depth on the saw to 1/2 inch.

    • 3

Plug the circular saw into an electrical outlet. Set the cement paver on the ground or another location that will not be damaged by the saw blade.

    • 4

Press the trigger on the circular saw to start the blade spinning and slowly move the blade toward the pencil line on the paver. Continue holding the circular saw in place until you move it all the way across the paver.

    • 5

Increase the depth of the saw blade to 1 inch and repeat the cutting process by moving the saw through the pre-cut line in the cement paver. Thin cement pavers should split in half after the second cut. If the paver is thick, turn it over and cut it from the opposite side as well.
