Write down on a piece of paper exactly the type of Anderson window you own. Double hung windows usually require one screen for the bottom sash while casement or awning windows require a full window screen.

Measure the width of the visible glass on the lower sash of a double hung window or in the center of a casement window. The measurement is of the glass, not the frame around the glass. Write the measurement down on the paper.

Take the measurement of the height of the visible glass and transfer that measurement to the paper.

Get the width and height measurements of both sashes on a double hung window if your window is a cottage style. Cottage style windows have one sash that is larger than the other.
