How to Set Up JARING Email

Set up JARING email on your computer.

JARING (Joint Advanced Research Integrated Networking) is one of the first companies in Malaysia to provide Internet service. As a consumer of JARING Internet services, you are provided with one to five email accounts. The number of accounts you are provided with will vary, based on the type of service you have. These email accounts can be accessed online through JARING's Webmail portal or you can set the email accounts up on your home computer.

Instructions

Outlook Express

1. Open the Outlook Express email client on your computer.

2. Select "Tools" and "Accounts" from the top navigation bar.

3. Click the "Mail" tab. Click the "Add" button.

4. Complete the email setup wizard by entering all of your JARING email settings. For example, you will have to enter your JARING email address, password and JARING mail server settings. The mail server settings are listed below:

   Server Type: POP3

   Incoming Server: mbox.jaring.my

   Outgoing SMTP Server: smtp.jaring.my

5. Click "Finish" when the email setup wizard is complete.

Entourage

1. Launch the Entourage mail client on your computer.

2. Select "Tools" and "Accounts" from the menu bar.

3. Click the "New" button. This will launch the "Email Setup Assistant."

4. Complete the Email Setup Assistant by entering all of your JARING email settings. These are the same settings that are listed in step 4 of section 1.

5. Click "Finish" when the Email Setup Assistant is complete.
