Farberware Microbrew Instructions

The Farberware Microbrew coffee maker is designed to make two 6-ounce cups of coffee in the microwave. No longer in production, the Microbrew is often found at thrift stores and garage sales without the manual. Making coffee in the Microbrew is relatively simple and works much like a regular percolator.

Things You'll Need

• No. 2 coffee filter
• 2 tbsp. coffee
• 1 2/3 cups water

Instructions

1. Place the filter section of the Farberware on the top of the bottom pot section.

2. Insert a No. 2 coffee filter into the filter section.

3. Spoon 2 tbsp. coffee into the filter.

4. Secure the water pot section on top of the coffee filter. Fill with 1 2/3 cups of water or until the water reaches the top lip of the water pot. Place the lid on the top of the water pot.

5. Place the Microbrew in your microwave and heat on high for 3 to 4 minutes. As the water heats up, the coffee will brew into the lower pot.

6. Remove the Microbrew from the microwave, remove the water pot and filter basket. Place the lid on the lower section and serve the coffee.

Tips & Warnings

• The exact amount of time it will take to brew the coffee will depend on the wattage of your microwave. If the coffee is too weak, increase the time by 1 to 2 minutes.
