Things You'll Need

  • Tooth whitening kit with trays
  • Toothbrush
  • Floss
  • Desensitizing toothpaste
  • Toothpaste

Instructions

    • 1

      Brush your teeth twice a day with a desensitizing toothpaste three weeks before you start using your whitening kit. A toothpaste with potassium nitrate and fluoride should decrease tooth sensitivity. Make sure your gums have no scratches or sores.

      Brush and floss your teeth. It is recommended that your teeth are clean and free from food or drink residue before you use your trays.

      Drop the whitening gel in each tooth indention. A total of 10 to 12 drops should be used in each of the upper and lower trays. Do not overfill.

      Place the tray in your mouth and press firmly against teeth. Wipe any excess gel away with your finger or a toothbrush.

      Wear the trays two to three hours per day. The trays can also be worn overnight.

      Remove the tray after specified time and rinse your mouth to remove any remaining gel.

      Clean the tray using warm water and a toothbrush. Dry with a clean cloth and store until your next use.

  • After 6 months, you may need to whiten your teeth again.

  • Teeth will naturally yellow over time.

  • Get regular teeth cleaning for maximum whiteness.

  • Do not eat, drink, or smoke while whitening your teeth.
