How to Play QuickTime in a Winamp
By default, the popular Winamp audio/video player does not support Apple QuickTime (MOV) files. If you install the QuickTime codec (compressor/decompressor) on your system, you should be able to get Winamp to accept MOV files. The codec can be downloaded from a few different sources. If that doesn't work, you can install the large Winamp plug-in PowerPlayer II, which adds support not only for QuickTime but many other unsupported video formats as well.

1
Obtain the QuickTime codec. This is a small piece of software that tells your computer how to deal with QuickTime movie files. You can get it by downloading and installing either QuickTime itself or the smaller QT Lite (see Resources).
-
2
Tell Winamp to recognize the QuickTime file type. Open Winamp, then click "Preferences," "Plug-Ins," "Input" and "Nullsoft Direct Show." Add "MOV" to the list of extensions and close the "Preferences" window. You should now be able to play QuickTime files.

Install the larger Winamp add-on PowerPlayer II if the above solution does not work. Download and install PowerPlayer II from the link in Resources. Once it's installed, Winamp should have QuickTime capability.
