How to Set Up Mozilla Thunderbird and Btconnect

Sending and receiving email using Thunderbird can be a convenient way of accessing your BTconnect account. Enter the incoming and outgoing mail server addresses for BTconnect into Thunderbird to set the client up. These settings are provided by your email provider. BTconnect also requires you to know your user name (email name) and password when you set up your account.

Instructions

1. Open Mozilla Thunderbird.

2. Click "Tools," then "Account Settings." Click "Email account," then click "Next."

3. Enter your name and your BTconnect email address, then click "Next."

4. Click "POP" and then enter the "Incoming Server" address as "mail.btinternet.com." Click "Next."

5. Enter your email address as both the "Incoming" and "Outgoing" user names. Click "Next" and "Next" again.

6. Click "Outgoing Server," then enter "mail.btinternet.com" as the address. Click "OK" to finish setting up your BTconnect email.
