How to Get Music URLs

A song's URL is simply the Web address of the download. When downloading songs from websites, it is necessary to find the URL that is specific to the song. Finding a song's URL is useful if you want to copy and send the download link to someone or save it to your computer. This takes little time because most songs on the Internet have their own URL.

Go to a music downloading site. One site that is both free and legal is MP3 Raid. Go to the site's homepage and enter the name of the song or artist that you want to download into the search field at the top of the page.

Click on the file name. Agree to the terms and enter in the computer-generated character code displayed. This is to prove that you are a human and not a bot. Select "Click Enable Listen and Download." Right click on the download link and select "Copy Link Location." Paste the URL into a document for future reference.

Go to the file's properties. Right-click on the download link and select "Properties." The URL will then be listed in the Properties window.

Send the link. Right click on the song link and select "Send Link." This will insert the link into an e-mail client message window. Send the song URL to a friend or to yourself.
