You can connect your television system to a computer's sound card.

Extigy is an internally installed sound card used on Windows-based computers. With the sound card, you can hook up just about any exterior device, ranging from a television to a surround-sound system. When you connect a TV to the computer's sound card, all of the audio will run from the computer into the TV, and the television then reproduces the sound through the system speakers.
