Compatible with Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7, Adobe Reader is a free application that allows you to open and print PDF (Portable Document Format) files. You may also perform "edit-like functions using Reader" if the PDF supports editing, according to the Adobe Reader FAQ. Adobe Reader works in conjunction with popular Web browsers, such as Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox, or you may work with PDFs outside of the browser. Printing problems may be caused by lack of system resources, temporary printer or computer problems, outdated software or faulty PDFs.
