How to Run a Tracker With uTorrent

In Bittorrent terminology, a "tracker" is the method that a Bittorrent client (like uTorrent) uses to download and share a file from the Internet. The client connects to the tracker and begins the downloading and sharing process of the file that is represented by the torrent. If you have a torrent in uTorrent and wish to see which tracker is being used for your download, you can do so at any time from the menu.

Instructions

1. Open uTorrent via its desktop shortcut icon.

2. Click on the torrent in the list on screen that you want to run the tracker for.

3. Click on the "Trackers" tab at the bottom of the uTorrent window to run the tracker for that particular file.
