How to Add Bluetooth to My 1000H

You can pick up a USB Bluetooth adapter at most electronics retailers.

The 1000H Eee PC from ASUS was the 2008 model in that line of laptops. Released with Windows XP pre-installed, it expanded on the offerings of its predecessor, with a 1.6 GHz processor, integrated webcam and 10-inch screen. It does not include a Bluetooth adapter, but these are easy to install.

• USB Bluetooth adapter

Instructions

1. Insert the USB Bluetooth adapter into an empty USB slot on the 1000H.

2. Insert the installation CD that came with the adapter in the computer's drive. Follow the prompts to complete the installation.

3. Place the Bluetooth device in "Discovery" mode, then click "Start," then "Control Panel."

4. Click "View Devices and Printers" under "Hardware and Sound," then click "Add a device" near the top of the window.

5. Select your device, enter its security pass key ("0000" for most devices), and click "Next."
