Merge contacts in your Windows Mobile phone with Windows Live or Messenger.

Microsoft created Windows Mobile as a version of Microsoft Windows. You can use it with cell phones, smart phones and PDAs. Windows Mobile enables you to access the Internet, emails and your contact's email addresses while on the move. As with all Internet-enabled phones, you can easily add, delete or amend email contacts. However, with a Windows Mobile phone you can complete more developed tasks, such as merging or deleting duplicated contacts, through a Windows Live Hotmail account, which you access from your phone's Web browser.

Instructions

    • 1

Log in to your Hotmail account on your phone, click on the "Options" tab at the top right hand corner of the Hotmail window and select "More Options" from the drop-down menu.

    • 2

Select "Clean Up Duplicate Contacts" from the new Hotmail menu. This option is located within the "Customize Your Contacts" category.

    • 3

Click on the "Clean up duplicate contacts" button. A list of all duplicate contacts in your address book will appear.

    • 4

Highlight a name in the list and select "Merge" when prompted. Repeat this step until you have merged all contacts.
