Instructions

    • 1

Check the air filter to see if it needs to be cleaned. If the filter is dirty, remove it from the unit. Wash in hot soapy water. Rinse with clean water. Shake dry.

    • 2

Check the dehumidifier control panel. If the model you are servicing has a full container indicator, a light will be lit above the word "Full." The dehumidifier will shut itself off if the water container becomes full. Empty the water container and replace it in the unit. The full indicator will go off and the unit will start again.

    • 3

Inspect the control panel for humidity settings. The dehumidifier will turn off if the humidity percentage setting has been achieved. Adjust the humidity settings by pressing the plus and minus buttons under "Set Humidity."

    • 4

Press the pause button if the unit has been paused. Some models have a pause button that will turn the unit off for one hour. If it is paused, press the pause button to resume operation.

    • 5

Make sure all the windows and outside doors are closed in the area where the dehumidifier is being operated. If windows and doors are open, it will decrease the effectiveness of the dehumidifier.

    • 6

Replace the batteries in the remote control if it is not functioning. Not all models have remote controls. Use only new batteries.

    • 7

Move any objects that are obstructing the grille. If the grille is blocked, the unit will not be able to properly function.
