How to Apply for Canadian Grants
The Canadian government provides numerous grants annually to individuals, businesses and organizations to increase employment, improve the economy and encourage innovation. Canadian businesses and individuals must meet eligibility requirements to apply for a specific grant. If you are an artist, run a small business, or are a student, organization, inventor or any other entity, applying for Canadian grants could give you capital you need to launch or improve your business or complete an individual project.

Tips & Warnings
Grant applications typically take 6 to 8 weeks to process.
If you have any questions about a specific grant or grant application process, contact information is usually provided on the grant’s official website or grant directory.
A well-written grant proposal will determine if you receive grant funding. If you cannot write a compelling proposal, hire or ask someone to prepare the proposal. Grant organizations pay close attention to your written proposal and it is the most important part of the application process.
Grants are highly competitive and grant applications that do not meet the guidelines are automatically rejected.
