How to Find a Provider for UnitedHealthcare
UnitedHealthcare provides insurance plans to individuals, families and employers. Its plans are flexible and include Medicaid programs, Medicare coverage and student coverage just to name a few. UnitedHealthcare allows its members the option of finding a health care provider either from its online directory or by contacting its customer service department.

Log onto UnitedHealthcare's website. Click on the "Find a Physician" link. This will generate a pop-up window.

Select the "Search for a Physician" radio button and click "Continue". Enter your search criteria into the appropriate field and select "Continue" to move to the next screen.

Select a specialty and click "Continue" to view your results. Print out your search results or write down the names and numbers of providers that you may be interested in.

Log onto UnitedHealthcare's website. Retrieve the customer service number by clicking the "Contact Us" link.

Select your state from the drop-down menu. Click the "Go" button. This will generate a list of contact numbers specific to your state.

Call the customer service department. Provide it with your membership number and your zip code to receive a list of providers in your area.
