How to Use Xyron
You can use the Xyron Adhesive Application and Lamination system to laminate documents or to apply an adhesive backing to any documents. This tool is great for preserving any special documents or simply putting a professional touch on them. The lamination and adhesive effect are, however, permanent, and you cannot remove them without damaging the document; therefore you should never to use the Xyron Adhesive Application and Lamination system on any original precious material.

Remove the document feed tray from the Xyron system by lifting it up and pulling it toward you. Grip the input compartment firmly with both hands and pull it toward you to open the input tray. Remove the old laminate or adhesive application cartridge by turning the handle counterclockwise. Install a new lamination or adhesive application cartridge by placing the cartridge between the rubber rollers with the free end facing the dispenser.

Feed the film into the dispenser and turn the handle in a clockwise motion. Run the cartridge through the machine until it is aligned and wrinkle-free on the document output side. Cut the excess material away by sliding the cut blade to the right and left while pressing down gently on it. Close the input tray and reinstall the document feed tray by lining it up into the grooves and pushing it downward.

Insert the documents that you wish to laminate or apply adhesive to into the document tray, making sure to only insert one document at a time. Align the left corner of the document with the appropriate marking on the document tray.

Turn the handle clockwise with one hand and carefully push the document forward with the other hand, making sure to keep the document straight so that the laminate or adhesive backing is applied smoothly. Continue turning the handle until the entire part of the document that you want to alter passes by the Xyron system.

Trim the document to the length that you wish by sliding the cut blade to the right and left and applying gentle pressure to it. Set the blade aside and remove any remaining bits of the document from the machine by turning the handle clockwise. Discard any debris and then examine the document that you applied adhesive or laminate to.
