How to Make a Computer Run Faster With Firefox
Mozilla Firefox is a popular web browser program that competes with other programs like Internet Explorer and Google Chrome. The speed of web browsing is determined, in part, by the speed of your Internet connection. If your Internet connection speed is slow, you may need to upgrade your Internet service to increase browsing speed. However, there are tweaks you can make to Firefox that can improve browsing speed.

1
Update Firefox. Open Firefox and then click "Help," "Check for Updates," and choose to install any updates that are detected.

2
Disable add-on programs. A variety of add-on applications are available for Firefox that can potentially impact browsing speed. If you install an add-on and notice that Firefox runs slower, disable the add-on. In Firefox, click "Tools," "Options," click the "General" tab," "Manage Addons," click on the add-on in the list under "Extensions" or "Plug-ins," and then click "Disable."

Tweak your settings in the "about:config" menu. Type "about:config" into the address bar, press enter, click "I'll be Careful, I Promise" to continue, scroll down and double-click on "network.http.pipelining" to set the value to "True," double-click on "network.http.proxy.pipelining" to set the value to "True," and then double-click on "network.http.pipelining.maxrequests" and type "8" into the pop-up field and click "Ok."
