How to Boot an HP Recovery Partition in a New PC

The recovery partition is an area of the hard drive containing backup and restoration files for your PC. Booting from the HP Recover partition in your new HP computer enables you to restore your computer to factory condition on demand, enabling you to circumvent problems with viruses, malware, or other persistent and seemingly unmovable PC infestations. Accomplish this by activating the recovery partition during system startup.

Instructions

    • 1

      Restart your HP computer.

    • 2

Tap "F11" repeatedly as the computer is loading to instruct the computer to boot from the recovery partition.

    • 3

Click "Advanced Options" and select "System Recovery" to use the Recovery Partition.
