How to Recover Files Deleted from Flash Drive

      Try Recuva for free. Select the drive at the top of the screen. Look through the deleted files underneath that, click on the files you want and press "Restore."

      Use eIMAGE Recovery. Costing $27 as of August 2010, you can use this program to restore files that have been deleted and even reformatted. Pick the thumb drive, click on the deleted files you want to recover and click "Restore."

Tips & Warnings

  • Create a weekly copy of your files so you do not lose anything.

  • Removing the drive while a file is being recovered will corrupt all data.
