How Do I Use the AUX Input on the 2007 Chevy Tahoe?

Use a 3.5 mm cable with the AUX input on the 2007 Chevy Tahoe.

Vehicles built in 2007 and later have different characteristics from those built before them. Among these characteristics are the number of entertainment options in the car. Most vehicles from this era feature, at the minimum, a CD player with an AM/FM radio. Some vehicles, such as the 2007 Chevy Tahoe, offer an auxiliary (AUX) input that can be used to connect an external audio device such as a portable audio player.

Things You'll Need

• 3.5 mm (on both ends) audio cable

Instructions

1. Turn on the vehicle and power on the radio.

2. Connect one end of the 3.5 mm cable to the external device you would like to plug into the AUX input.

3. Connect the other end of the 3.5 mm cable to the AUX input located on the lower right hand side of the faceplate.

4. Press the CD/AUX button to switch to the AUX input device.

5. Turn on your connected device and operate it as you normally would. The sound will come through the vehicle's speakers.

6. Turn the volume knob on the car's faceplate to control the level of sound.

Tips & Warnings

• Pressing the CD/AUX button allows you to switch the audio input and navigate between a CD or connected auxiliary device without removing either device.
