How to Set a Malibu Electric Timer

Insert a red tripper into the slot on the dial for the time you want the lights to come on. A tripper is an arrow-like attachment included with the timer. The trippers have a U-shaped cutout on the bottom that seat into the outside rim of the dial. Find the appropriate time on the dial, and press the tripper into the slot on the rim of the timer.

Repeat this process using the black tripper switch. The black tripper represents the time you want the lights to go off.

Turn the power on the pack. The on/off switch will be located somewhere around the dial, possibly in the upper corner.

Spin the center knob on the timer clockwise until the larger center arrow aligns with the correct day. For example, if it is Monday, the center arrow should be pointing to Monday on the timer.

Move the outer dial around at least one full turn clockwise. Set the outer dial so that the current time aligns with the time marker located in the upper right hand side of the timer. For instance, if it is 2 p.m., turn the dial so 2 p.m. aligns with the marker for the current time.
