1
Search for a dealership that consigns cars such as Consign-A-Car, Fiskens, Denning Cars, or Gulliver USA. Some dealerships will actually display your vehicle physically on a show room floor, and others will simply feature it on popular online websites.
-
2
Call the dealership to ask about their consignment agreement policy. Be sure to note certain factors such as minimum periods, types of vehicles accepted, condition of vehicles accepted, administrative fees, identity protection, and options if the vehicle does not sell.

3
Bring the vehicle to the dealership. The dealership will inspect the vehicle, and take pictures for marketing purposes.
-
4
Speak with the dealership's pricing advisor to determine a good listing price. Also come to an agreement on any amount of commission the dealership requires. If there is a loan on the vehicle, discuss payoff options.
-
5
Sign a contract agreement to consign your vehicle.
-
6
Check for any status updates. Once your vehicle is sold, the dealership will contact you with further instructions and details on how to collect your proceeds.
