How to Block Cell Phones in Schools

A cell phone that rings during a class session is disruptive. Blocking cell phone signals inside the school and individual classrooms prevents students from talking on their phones during class. It also prevents them from using their cell phones to cheat on tests. Cell phones can be blocked using cell phone jammers.

Instructions

1. Purchase a cell phone jammer directly from a cell phone jammer vendor (see Resources). Choose the correct size for your desired location. One classroom might only require only one unit, while covering the whole school campus might require several powerful units.

2. Plug the cell phone jammer into a power outlet, following the installation instructions provided by the manufacturer. Install the antenna using the same instructions. Repeat the process in all other locations to ensure even coverage.

3. Locate the on/off switch and turn the unit on. Verify that the unit is turned on by looking for the power-on light indicator. Repeat for remaining units.
