Step-by-Step Tutorial for Garmin GPS 295
Garmin GPS 295 has a big screen with a 4-inch diagonal and 16-color display, providing a clear map to help you navigate your way. Take the device outside where the antenna can point up straight at the sky.

Press and hold the red power key.

Press "Enter" after viewing the Welcome Page and the Database Page. Within 30 to 45 seconds, Garmin GPS 295 will map your position.

Press "Menu" and choose "Enter Land Mode" to let the device help you as you drive. This disables some aviation-related features that pilots can use while flying.

Press the "WPT" button. Use the Rocker Keypad, which is the large circular button located on the right side of the device, to choose the "Address" tab at the top of the screen.

Use the Rocker Keypad to highlight the address number field and press "Enter." Use the Rocker Keypad to enter the address number and press "Enter."

Press "Enter," use the Rocker Keypad to key in the street name and press "Enter" again when you have finished entering the street name.

Press "Enter" and use the Rocker Keypad to enter the city and postal code to further narrow the search if you want to. This step is optional.

Use the Rocker Keypad to move the cursor to the "Search" button and press "Enter."

Select one address from the list shown and press "Enter."
