How to Fix a Visual C Runtime Error

Installing Microsoft Widows XP or similar component applications onto your computer may cause a Visual C Runtime error. This type of error is triggered by a conflict between the "Mosdmn.exe" and "Mosearch.exe" files and an application on your computer system. You can fix this error in a few steps.

Instructions

1. Click "Start" on the Windows desktop to open the Start Menu.

2. Click the "Run" icon in the Start Menu and type in "msconfig.exe" into the "Run" dialog text field. Click "OK." The "System Configuration" dialog box will appear.

3. Click the "General" tab and select the "Selective Startup" option.

4. Click the "Startup" tab and ensure that the "MoSearch" option is the only option checked---all other options should be unchecked.

5. Restart your computer.
