How to Connect SCSI Drives
SCSI (Small Computer System Interface) drives let you utilize more than one piece of hardware and can connect to the serial port of your laptop or desktop. SCSI drives contain both an "Out" and an "In" slot which lets hardware components attach to each other. Zip drives, or SCSI drives contain a serial port on the rear portion of the device, which lets you attach a printer to the rear port of your drive. This type of setup allows you to utilize your zip drive and printer together. This really comes in handy if your laptop or desktop contains only a single serial port and you have to attach two separate hardware components.
