Program the handset to turn off talking caller ID.

Panasonic offers talking caller ID on some of their cordless phones. It can be very convenient since you don't have to run to the phone to see who is calling. It can also be a little irritating, sometimes we have enough noise around us and quiet time is nice. The talking caller ID can be turned off for those times. Panasonic does well with keeping their programming similar for different phone models, although it is a good idea to verify the instruction manual for your model type.
