A code called ActionScript is used in Flash.

Adobe Flash is an animation program used for creating cartoons as well as interactive Web pages. When creating a website, you'll need to link to other files, including ShockWave Flash (SWF) files. Rather than linking to files with hypertext markup language (HTML) like you would with a typical website, in Flash you use a code called ActionScript. Even if you have little knowledge of ActionScript, Flash gives shortcuts within the program to instantly code the buttons for you.
