How to Turn a Sound on a Verizon Phone Into a Ringtone
Most Verizon Wireless cell phones can record vocal notes, audio and other random sounds, turning your phone into a digital audio recorder. These files are saved to your phone's internal memory or micro Secure Digital (microSD) memory card in the "Sounds" folder, where you can play them through the built-in speakers, send them to friends, or set them as various alert sounds.

Press the "Menu" button on your Verizon cell phone.

Search for the "Sounds" folder on your phone. Depending on the model, it may be under "My Sounds," "Music," "Audio," or something similar. You might have to click "Media Center" or "Multimedia" before locating the "Sounds" folder.

Select the "Sounds" or "My Sounds" folder and select the file that you want to set as your ringtone.
