How to Update the MDX Navigation

The Acura MDX sports utility vehicle can be outfitted with many extra features and accessories, including a GPS navigation unit. The navigation unit comes preloaded with maps and points of interest, but over time, roads change. Installing the latest map updates on the unit ensures that you have access to the most current information regarding newly built streets and highways. Map updates can be purchased from the Acura online store and are shipped via a DVD.

  Go to acura.com and click on "Acura Store," then "Shop Navigation DVD."

  Select "MDX" in the drop-down menu labeled "Model," then select your vehicle's year in the menu below. The newest update is displayed.

  Choose "Add to Cart" and "Checkout." Provide billing and shipping information.

  Follow the directions included with the DVD to apply the update to the unit.
