Small holes in vinyl liners are easily repaired with an underwater patch.

If you have a leak in your inground pool vinyl liner, you will notice the liner start to peel away from the concrete side of the pool. When you realize that your pool liner has a leak, it is best to fix it as soon as possible. Leaks left unrepaired will continue to bubble the liner away from the concrete. Eventually you will need to replace the entire liner instead of simply patching a small hole. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    • 1

Clean the area around the leak. Use a cloth to rub off any dirt or algae.

    • 2

Use scissors to round the corners of the patch you will be applying.

    • 3

Apply adhesive to the back of the patch with the applicator attached to the lid of the can. Lightly fold the patch over onto itself.

    • 4

Take the patch underwater to the leak. Unfold the patch and place it on top of the leak. Push out all the air bubbles so it is laying flat on the vinyl liner. Do not disturb the patch for at least 48 hours.
