Go to the Java website and click on the "Free Java Download" button at the center of the screen. If you already have Java downloaded and installed in your computer, then instead of downloading the entire Java platform, you'll simply download the latest updates.

Click "Agree to Start Free Download" and then click "Run" when the computer prompts you to either Run or Save the download.

Follow the installation wizard that appears once the software has downloaded and click "Finish" when the wizard prompts you to. You have now updated Java.
