      Press down on the shield lock on the left side of the helmet. Raise the face shield into a fully-opened position.

      Pull down on the D-shaped plastic rings on the face shield's pivot plates on both sides of the helmet to unlock the face shield.

      Pull the face shield from the helmet.

      Hold the new face shield against the helmet, placing it in a fully-opened position. Slide the hooked tabs on the ends of the face shield into the grooves on the top of the pivot plate.

      Press the sides of the face shield into the pivot plates until you hear a click from both plates. This means the shield is locked into place.

      Lower the face shield to a fully closed position.
