Adobe Flash CS3 is a versatile multimedia application that enables you to create graphic effects of objects, such as text. Fading text is useful in web banners and presentations. You can fade text by using the Flash interface to progressively change the alpha properties.

      Create a new Flash file. Use the Text tool to type your text. Create a movie clip of the text by pressing "F8."

      Click in frame 60 of the text layer in the timeline and press "F6" to create a keyframe. Click on the text movie clip in this frame and change the "Color" setting in the "Properties" panel to "Alpha." Set the value to "0%." Go to frame one of the layer and using the "Properties" panel, change the "Tween" button to "Motion."

      Press "Ctrl" and "Enter" to test the file. The text will fade from 100 percent to 0 percent alpha.
