How to Transfer Quicken for PC to Quicken for iMac
When transferring computers, most data also needs to be moved from the old computer to the new computer, however; when switching from a PC to a Mac, this can become tricky as many programs will not work on both platforms. Quicken has established an easy way of transferring data from the PC to the iMac with very little data being lost. Transactions made to investment accounts or custom reports cannot be converted, however; scheduled transactions and accounts other than those for investments will be converted to the new format.

Open "File" from the top toolbar.

Select "File Export" and select "Quicken Transfer Format" or "QTF" from the menu.

Save the file to any form of removable device such as a flash drive.

Open Quicken Essentials on the iMac.

Select "File" and "Export" from the top toolbar.

Select the QXF file which was saved from the PC. The data is now transferred and ready to use on the iMac.
