Instructions

    • 1

Wash the frying pan by hand with dishwashing soap and a dishcloth before using it for the first time.

    • 2

Set the oven temperature according to the design of your enameled cast iron frying pan. As long as your frying pan has either stainless steel or cast-iron knobs and handles, you can place it in the oven at any temperature. If your frying pan has knobs or handles made of other materials, keep the oven temperature at 375 F or lower. Do not place frying pans with wooden handles in the oven.

    • 3

Fill the frying pan with the foods you want to bake. Make sure the foods have some sort of liquid to prevent dry cooking. Use either cooking oil or melted butter to cover the bottom of the pan and then add the other ingredients.

    • 4

Place the frying pan in the oven and bake the food for the time recommended in the recipe. Remove the frying pan from the oven after the food finishes baking. Place the hot frying pan onto a trivet or hot pad and serve the food immediately.
