One formula is called "Convert" and allows users to convert values from one unit to another. For example, if you needed to convert millimeters to inches in Excel, you would use the Convert function.

Determine the number of millimeters you want to convert to inches. If the number is already in another cell, note that cell location. For example, if you want to convert the value in cell A5 to inches, you would use "A5" instead of a number.

Type "=convert(X, "mm","in")" in the desired cell, where X is either the number you want to convert or the cell containing the number. The result will appear when you hit "Enter."
