YouTube provides several editing options for your videos, such as the ability to create captions, blur faces and add effects. You also have the option to adjust the dimensions of the video by editing its aspect ratio. For example, you can change the video to stretch to 16:9 ratio or crop it to fit the entire screen. In order to make the change, you must manually add a dimension tag to the video.

Step 1

Log in to YouTube and click your username at the top right to open a menu.

Step 2

Click "Video Manager."

Step 3

Click "Edit" on the video for which you want to change dimensions.

Step 4

Place your cursor into the tag field.

Step 5

Paste in your desired dimensions using one of the following codes: "yt:crop=16:9," "yt:stretch=16:9," "yt:stretch=4:3" or "yt:quality=high."

Step 6

Click "Save."
