As of 2010, Google Chrome is the third-most used Web browser in the world, according to W3schools.com. However, Google Chrome does not feature a built-in option to download videos from directories such as YouTube. If you want to download YouTube videos using Google Chrome, you must manually install a JavaScript plugin and then use the plugin to download the videos that you want.

Instructions

    • 1

Open up the Google Chrome Bookmark bar. To do so, press "Ctrl" and "B" together while running Google Chrome.

    • 2

Right-click on the Google Chrome bookmark bar and select the option labeled "Add Page."

    • 3

Enter "Google Chrome YouTube Videos" into the "Name" field.

    • 4

      Enter "javascript:window.location.href = 'http://youtube.com/get_video?video_id=' + yt.getConfig("SWF_ARGS")['video_id'] + "&sk=" + yt.getConfig("SWF_ARGS")['sk'] + '&t=' + yt.getConfig("SWF_ARGS")['t'];" (without quotes) into the URL field.

    • 5

Click "OK" to create a new bookmark labeled "Google Chrome YouTube Videos."

    • 6

Click the "Google Chrome YouTube Videos" bookmark while playing a YouTube video to download it. The download will automatically save itself into the "Downloads" folder under your Windows user account.
